La longitud de onda Alejandrita ofrece una absorción de energía más potente por parte del cromóforo de melanina y por eso es ideal para una mayor variedad de tipos y tonos de vello, especialmente el vello fino y claro. La longitud de onda de 755 nm tiene una penetración más superficial y ataca la tumescencia del folículo piloso. Es especialmente eficaz en el vello subcutáneo en zonas como las cejas y el labio superior.
